2015 – 2021             Research Group Leader of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research at the Institute for Anatomy and Cell Biology at Heidelberg University. Investigating mouse models with gene-targeted or conditional, transgenic mutations found in human patients with cognitive impairments autism spectrum disorder (ADS).

2001 – 2015             Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg. Generation of mouse models to study cognition and mental disorders in mice. Development of rAAV mediated gene-transfer in mice.

19962001     Research associate, in Peter Seeburgs Dept. of Molecular Neurobiology at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg. Generation of mouse models with altered fast signal transmission in the CNS using gene-targeting and transgenic approaches.
