Illustration of cell adhesion forces with molecular structures, alongside fluorescent images showing cellular components in green and red hues.
We are trying to understand how mechanical forces working at molecular, cellular, and multicellular length-scales support the collective dynamics of epithelial cells. more
A purple spherical cell structure centered against a blue backdrop, accompanied by a 1-micrometer scale bar.
We focus on the design, synthesis, and fabrication of multifunctional molecular and supramolecular materials for biomedical applications. Special interest is devoted to study the cell-material interaction for improving novel adoptive cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. more
Cells under the microscope: Fluorescent dyes mark cell structures. Diagram shows impedance measurements at different frequencies.
Our research is focused on the study of the interaction between cells and the extracellular matrix (ECM) as well as cell-cell interactions with a focus on how these interactions regulate the structure and dynamics of the cell. Understanding the mechanisms underlying these interactions is highly relevant for the investigation of biological processes such as cell survival, proliferation, differentiation, and migration. more
