Guided Tours

Guided Tours

If you are interested in visiting our historic institute or want to experience what it is like to work at the frontier of modern science and technology, we offer guided tours for interested citizens. Please contact the public relations office for more information. We are always happy to include introductions to basic lab work for school classes or student groups.

An exhibition on the institute's history is currently on show. One part of it is devoted to the life and work of institute staff members who were forced to leave in the years before World War II. The exhibition also introduces the Nobel laureates associated with our institute: Otto Meyerhof (Physiology or Medicine), Richard Kuhn (Chemistry), Walther Bothe (Physics), Rudolf Mößbauer (Physics), Bert Sakmann (Physiology or Medicine), and Stefan Hell (Chemistry). We are proud of this opportunity to inform the public about the work and history of the institute.
